The DEWALT DAFE1B1810 is a coated abrasive flap wheel designed for precision grinding, blending, and finishing on cylindrical surfaces, bores, and contoured workpieces. Measuring 1 inch in diameter by 1 inch wide with a 1/4-inch arbor hole, this compact wheel mounts directly to die grinders and rotary tools. Running at 180 grit, it removes light stock and leaves a consistent finish suitable for deburring, surface prep, and edge blending on metal, wood, and composites. Fabricators, pipefitters, and metalworkers reach for this wheel when working inside tubing or tight-radius features where flat abrasives cannot make contact.
This flap wheel is suited for bench-top and handheld rotary tool applications in both shop and field settings. Its small diameter makes it practical for interior bore finishing, slot cleanup, and weld blending in confined areas. The 180-grit designation places it in the fine range, making it appropriate for finishing passes rather than aggressive material removal. It is sold individually and is a standard consumable in fabrication shops, maintenance departments, and plumbing or HVAC rough-in work where pipe ends and fittings require cleanup before assembly.
Designed for use with standard die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4-inch arbor shank, suitable as a general-purpose coated abrasive consumable for metalworking and surface finishing applications.
A licensed or qualified tradesperson should confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the rated RPM of the abrasive wheel before use. Power down and disconnect the tool from its power source before mounting or removing the flap wheel. Inspect the wheel for damage prior to each use and do not use a wheel that shows cracking, fraying, or uneven wear. Eye protection and appropriate PPE are required in accordance with applicable workplace safety standards.
