The DDP SPECIALTY ELECTRONIC MATERIALS 99108860 is a 12 oz triple expanding foam sealant designed to fill, seal, and insulate gaps and holes larger than 1 inch. Dispensed from a reusable smart foam dispenser can, the formula expands aggressively to close large voids around pipes, conduit, ducts, and structural penetrations. The applicator tip stops foam flow when trigger pressure is released, giving installers direct control over bead size and placement without dripping. The cured foam is paintable, sandable, and stainable, making it suitable for both rough-in and finish-stage work. HVAC techs, plumbers, and general contractors reach for this product to stop drafts, block energy loss, and maintain air barriers at penetration points.
This sealant is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications wherever large gaps or irregular voids need a permanent, flexible fill. Common install scenarios include sealing around pipe and conduit penetrations through framing, blocking rim joist gaps, filling spaces around window and door rough openings larger than 1 inch, and closing duct chases or utility penetrations in unconditioned spaces. The triple-expanding formula is intended specifically for oversized gaps where standard minimal-expanding foam would leave voids unfilled.
Designed for use as a large-gap air-sealing and insulating foam sealant at plumbing, HVAC, and electrical penetrations through wood, masonry, and metal framing assemblies.
Apply at temperatures within the foam manufacturer's recommended range; cold surfaces and low humidity will slow cure time. Wear gloves and eye protection — uncured polyurethane foam bonds to skin and is difficult to remove. Mask adjacent finished surfaces before application, as cured foam requires mechanical removal. Follow local building and energy codes (IECC, IRC) for air-sealing requirements at penetrations in conditioned building envelopes.
