The DDP SPECIALTY ELECTRONIC MATERIALS 157906 is a triple-expanding polyurethane foam sealant designed to fill, seal, and insulate gaps, cracks, and holes larger than 1 inch. It delivers a weather-tight seal that stops drafts and reduces energy loss in both interior and exterior applications. The cured foam is rigid, waterproof, paintable, sandable, and stainable, making it suitable for finish work after application. The can features all-direction dispensing, giving installers flexibility in tight or overhead spaces. Tack-free time is 20 minutes, with full cure reached in 8 hours.
This foam sealant is used in residential and light commercial construction and retrofit work. Typical applications include sealing large penetrations around pipe chases, conduit runs, framing gaps, window and door rough openings, and masonry voids. It is well suited for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical rough-in work where air sealing around penetrations is required by energy code. Installers in all trades use it wherever a gap exceeds what standard crack filler can handle.
Designed for interior and exterior use on most common building substrates including wood, metal, masonry, glass, and most plastics. Suitable for sealing large penetrations and voids in residential and light commercial construction.
Application is typically performed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, or electricians during rough-in or at final inspection to meet air-sealing requirements under energy codes such as IECC. Shake the can thoroughly before use and apply in layers if the void is very deep, as expanding foam can exert pressure on surrounding materials. Wear gloves and eye protection, as uncured foam bonds aggressively to skin and is difficult to remove. Keep the work area ventilated during application and until the foam has fully cured.
