The DAYTON LAMINA S2000-35G is a die mold shoulder bushing machined from aluminum bronze, engineered for friction-type bushing applications in industrial tooling and die mold assemblies. It features a 2.0000-inch inside diameter with a press-fit attachment method and a self-lubricating construction that reduces the need for external lubrication in service. The bushing carries a tolerance of +0.0000 inches to -0.0600 inches on the bore. Toolmakers, die setters, and machine shop professionals install this bushing in mold bases and die sets where precise, repeatable guidance is required.
This shoulder bushing is suited for use in die mold bases in manufacturing and tooling environments. The shoulder collar design allows the bushing to seat positively against a mating surface, providing controlled axial location during installation. The self-lubricating aluminum bronze material makes it appropriate for applications where periodic re-lubrication is impractical or undesirable, including high-cycle production tooling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard component for die mold base assemblies requiring a 2-inch ID shoulder bushing with press-fit installation.
Installation is typically performed by a toolmaker or machinist using an arbor press or hydraulic press to drive the bushing into its mated bore. Always verify bore condition and cleanliness before pressing in the bushing to avoid damage to the bore or bushing OD. Do not use impact tools directly on the bushing collar. Confirm that the receiving hole diameter is machined to accept the 2.5005-inch outside diameter within the specified press-fit tolerance before installation.
