The DAYTON LAMINA MS750-12 is an aluminum bronze straight friction bushing designed for die mold and tooling applications requiring precise, low-maintenance guidance. With an overall length of 1.5 inches, an inside diameter of 0.75 inches, and a body diameter of 1.125 inches, this bushing installs via press-fit for a secure, fixed installation. The aluminum bronze construction provides excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and inherent lubricity. The self-lubricating design reduces maintenance requirements in continuous-cycle tooling environments. Toolmakers, die maintenance technicians, and mold builders commonly specify this style of friction bushing for guide pin and leader pin stations in stamping dies and injection molds.
This bushing is suited for use in stamping dies, die sets, and mold bases where a press-fit, non-removable friction bushing is the correct specification. The straight body profile seats flush within the die plate without a shoulder flange. The self-lubricating aluminum bronze material performs reliably under moderate loads and cycle rates without requiring external grease or oil application, making it practical in clean tooling environments or where regular lubrication access is limited.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit bushing for die sets and mold bases requiring a straight, press-fit friction bushing with a 0.75 inch inside diameter and 1.125 inch body diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified toolmaker or die maintenance technician. Press-fit installation requires an arbor press or hydraulic press to seat the bushing evenly and squarely into the die plate bore without deforming the bushing or bore. Ensure the receiving bore is clean, free of burrs, and dimensioned to the appropriate interference fit tolerance before pressing. Never drive the bushing in with an unguided hammer strike, as misalignment will damage both the bushing and the die plate.
