The DAYTON LAMINA 9-2014-21 is a medium-duty die spring designed for use in stamping dies, punch presses, and similar tooling applications. It features a 1-1/4 inch hole diameter, a 5/8 inch rod diameter, and a 3-1/2 inch free length. The spring delivers a maximum deflection load of 449 pounds at 1.31 inches of maximum deflection, with a maximum operating deflection of 37.50 percent and a travel to solid load of 1.42 inches. Color-coded blue per ISO 10243 standards for medium-duty classification, it provides a consistent and repeatable spring rate for precision tooling environments.
This die spring is suited for medium-duty stamping and forming dies in industrial manufacturing settings. It is installed by tool and die makers, maintenance technicians, and mechanical press service personnel. Typical applications include stripper plates, pressure pads, and component ejection mechanisms in progressive, transfer, and compound dies. The blue color coding allows quick identification of duty rating during die assembly and maintenance.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement die spring for medium-duty stamping and forming tooling applications requiring a 1-1/4 inch hole diameter and 5/8 inch rod diameter.
Die springs are installed by qualified tool and die makers or press maintenance technicians. Always de-energize and lock out the press before removing or installing die springs. Inspect the mating rod and housing bore for wear or damage before installation. Do not exceed the rated maximum operating deflection to avoid premature fatigue or failure.
