The DAYTON LAMINA 9-1006-11 is a light-duty die spring designed for use in stamping dies, molds, and press tooling where consistent, controlled compression force is required. Built from chromium-vanadium steel, this spring delivers a maximum deflection load of 72 pounds over a maximum deflection of 0.6 inches, with a free length of 1.5 inches and a hole diameter of 0.625 inches. The D-shaped wire profile and green color coding follow ISO 10243 standards for light-duty classification, making identification and replacement straightforward on the shop floor. Toolmakers, die setters, and mold technicians are the primary installers of this component.
This die spring is suited for light-duty compression applications in stamping dies, injection molds, and progressive tooling setups. The 11/32-inch rod diameter and 0.625-inch hole diameter determine fitment to the tool body. The spring operates at up to 40 percent maximum operating deflection, corresponding to a travel-to-solid load of 0.83 inches. Applications span automotive tooling, metal fabrication, and general industrial press operations where repeatable spring force and compact envelope size are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-specification die spring for light-duty stamping dies, injection molds, and press tooling requiring a 0.625-inch hole diameter, 11/32-inch rod diameter, and 1.5-inch free length per ISO 10243 light-duty specifications.
Die springs are installed by toolmakers or die setters during tool build or maintenance. Always relieve all press or clamp pressure and lock out the press before removing or replacing springs. Inspect the die pocket and guide rod for wear or damage before installing a new spring. Do not exceed the rated maximum operating deflection, as over-compression reduces spring life and can cause failure under load.
