The DAYTON LAMINA 6-10-23 is a steel die mold shoulder bushing designed for use in punch and die tooling assemblies. This short shoulder, demountable bushing provides a precision bore for guiding punches and die components during press operations. It features a bronze-plated finish over a steel body, with an inside diameter of 1.25 inches, a collar outside diameter of 2.095 inches, and a top outside diameter of 1.75 inches. The demountable design allows for removal and replacement without disturbing the die set, making it a practical choice for toolrooms and production environments where die maintenance is routine.
This bushing is suited for installation in metal stamping die sets, mold bases, and progressive dies requiring a friction-type guide bushing. The short shoulder body type fits applications where clearance above and below the die plate is limited. It is typically installed by tool and die makers or machinist technicians during die build or refurbishment. The 6-10-23 is compatible with clamp style 6-91-1 for secure retention in the die set.
Compatible with clamp style 6-91-1. Designed as a demountable, short shoulder friction bushing for use in standard die sets and mold bases requiring a 1.25-inch bore guide bushing.
Installation is typically performed by tool and die makers or experienced machinists during die set assembly or maintenance. Ensure the die set is removed from the press and all energy sources are locked out before servicing. The bushing bore and mating bore in the die plate should be clean and free of burrs before pressing or seating the bushing. Apply appropriate die lubricant as required, since this is a non-self-lubricating design.
