The DAYTON LAMINA 6-08-28 is a steel die mold shoulder bushing designed for precision tooling and die set applications. Built with an extra-long shoulder body type, it provides extended guidance and alignment for punches and guide pins in stamping and forming dies. The bushing features a 1.0000 inch inside diameter, a 1.72 inch bottom outside diameter, and a 1.5000 inch top outside diameter. It uses a demountable attachment method and a friction bushing design, making it straightforward to service or replace without disassembling the entire die set. A bronze-plated finish is applied to the steel body to reduce friction and wear during operation.
This bushing is used in die sets for metal stamping, forming, and progressive die applications in tool and die shops, manufacturing facilities, and production environments. The extra-long shoulder configuration suits applications that require greater guide length and stability between the punch holder and die shoe. The demountable design allows maintenance teams and tool and die makers to swap bushings during preventive maintenance or after wear without full die teardown. Clamp compatibility is specified for the 6-90-1 clamp.
Compatible with the 6-90-1 demountable clamp as specified by the manufacturer. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-build component for die sets requiring a demountable steel shoulder bushing with a 1.0000 inch inside diameter and extra-long shoulder configuration.
Installation is typically performed by a qualified tool and die maker or machinist. Ensure the die set is fully de-energized and the press is locked out and tagged out before removing or installing bushings. The 6-90-1 clamp should be used to secure this demountable bushing per the manufacturer specification. Because this is a non-self-lubricating bushing, apply appropriate lubrication to the bore at installation and maintain a scheduled lubrication interval to prevent premature wear.
