The DAMTITE 7031 is a cement-based, quick-setting hydraulic cement designed to stop active water infiltration through cracks and holes in concrete and masonry. Supplied as a dry powder, it is mixed with water to a putty consistency and sets in 3 to 5 minutes. The material expands as it cures, creating a permanent, high-strength patch that holds under hydrostatic pressure. It can be applied in wet conditions and works even when water is actively flowing through the repair area. Each 2.5-pound unit covers approximately 17 cubic inches of void volume at a 3/4-inch wide by 3/4-inch deep cross-section.
This hydraulic cement is suited for residential and commercial repair work on below-grade walls, wall-floor joints, swimming pools, water storage tanks, fountains, ponds, and drain structures. It also serves as a sealant around pipe and conduit penetrations and can be used to anchor metal hardware or hooks into concrete substrates. Plumbers, pool service technicians, general contractors, and experienced DIYers working on water-retaining structures will find this product appropriate for wet-environment patching where standard portland-based mortars would be displaced before curing.
Designed for use on concrete and masonry substrates including poured concrete walls, block, and similar cementitious surfaces in both residential and commercial applications.
This product should be installed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with hydraulic cement application techniques. Isolate the repair area and remove loose or deteriorated concrete before mixing. Mix only the quantity that can be applied within the working time, as the 3-to-5-minute set leaves minimal open time. Wear appropriate respiratory protection during mixing to avoid inhaling dust; this product contains crystalline silica and prolonged dust exposure is a recognized health hazard per California Proposition 65.
