The DAKOTA PLUMBING PRODUCTS GSZ-6040 is a 60/40 split, undermount kitchen sink built from 304 stainless steel with an 18-gauge construction and a brushed nickel finish. It features a zero-radius corner design that delivers clean, straight edges suited to contemporary and minimalist kitchen installations. The larger bowl is positioned on the left. Rear drain placement keeps the basin floor clear and simplifies disposal hookups. This sink is designed for installation in cabinets larger than 33 inches wide and is typically installed by plumbers or experienced remodelers during new construction or kitchen renovation projects.
The GSZ-6040 fits residential kitchen and bar sink applications where a modern, sharp-line aesthetic is required. The undermount installation style positions the sink below the countertop surface, eliminating the rim lip that collects debris and making countertop cleanup straightforward. The 60/40 bowl split provides a larger primary basin for washing pots and a smaller secondary basin for prep or draining, a common configuration in residential kitchens with active cooking use. It is part of the Zylo collection from DAKOTA PLUMBING PRODUCTS.
Designed for undermount installation in kitchen cabinets greater than 33 inches wide. Part of the DAKOTA PLUMBING PRODUCTS Zylo collection. Confirm countertop material and cutout dimensions before ordering.
Undermount sink installation requires support clips, silicone adhesive sealant, and a properly reinforced countertop substrate — solid stone, engineered stone, or similarly rigid materials are typically required. Power down the garbage disposal and shut off supply valves before disconnecting any existing plumbing. Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson in accordance with local IPC guidelines. Verify drain rough-in location aligns with the rear drain position before finalizing countertop cutout.
