The DAKOTA PLUMBING PRODUCTS GSM-16-3018 is a single-bowl undermount kitchen sink built from 16-gauge 304 stainless steel with a brushed nickel finish. At 16 gauge, the steel is thick enough to resist flex and dampen sound during heavy-duty use — a construction standard plumbers and kitchen installers look for in a commercial-grade residential sink. Micro radius corners make interior cleaning straightforward while maintaining a clean, modern profile. The rear drain position maximizes usable bowl depth and keeps the drain out of the primary work zone. This sink is part of the Mosara collection and is compatible with the GSMZ-BG3018 bottom grid accessory.
The GSM-16-3018 is designed for undermount installation in residential kitchen applications requiring a 33-inch cabinet minimum. Undermount configuration suits stone, quartz, and solid-surface countertop installations where a flush, crevice-free counter-to-sink transition is required. This single-bowl layout is well suited to kitchens handling large cookware, sheet pans, and full-size cutting boards. It is installed by licensed plumbers or skilled finish carpenters working alongside countertop fabricators during new construction or remodel projects.
Designed for undermount installation in kitchens with a minimum 33-inch base cabinet. Compatible with the GSMZ-BG3018 bottom grid accessory as specified by the manufacturer.
Undermount sink installation requires coordination between the plumber and countertop fabricator, as the sink must be templated and secured to the underside of the countertop before final countertop placement. Power down any in-sink disposal or related electrical circuits before connecting drain plumbing. Follow local plumbing code and IPC guidelines for drain sizing, trap configuration, and rough-in clearances. Do not over-torque mounting clips against the countertop substrate, as this can crack stone or solid-surface materials.
