The DAKOTA PLUMBING PRODUCTS DST-ALLC01W is a rectangular alcove soaker bathtub built from high-gloss acrylic with a fiberglass resin reinforcement layer. It holds up to 59 gallons to the overflow and ships in a white finish. The built-in tile flange integrates the tub into a standard three-wall alcove opening, sealing the surround interface without additional framing. The non-porous acrylic surface resists staining and retains heat during extended soaks. Ergonomic built-in armrests are molded into the deck for bather support. The reinforced composite construction distributes load evenly across the subfloor, supporting long-term structural stability under daily residential use.
This tub is intended for residential alcove installations in full bathrooms where a drop-in or freestanding unit is not practical. The transitional rectangular profile suits both contemporary and traditionally styled bathrooms. It is configured for a left or centered drain rough-in and includes a skirt panel that closes off the apron face of the installation. The built-in tile flange is designed to accept wall tile directly, making it compatible with standard alcove surround kits. Licensed plumbers and finish carpenters typically work together on the rough-in, drain connection, and skirt positioning.
Designed as an OEM-style alcove bathtub replacement or new installation for standard three-wall alcove bathroom openings with a left or centered drain rough-in. Part of the Dakota Plumbing Products Kennedy Collection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Power down any in-wall GFCI circuits in the work area before beginning surround or drain work. Set the tub level on a mortar bed or manufacturer-approved support system before securing the tile flange to studs and connecting the drain assembly. Do not overtighten the drain flange against the acrylic shell; hand-tighten and use a drain wrench only to the point of a watertight seal.
