The DAKOTA PLUMBING PRODUCTS DSM-A6040 is a 60/40 double-bowl apron-front kitchen sink constructed from 16-gauge 304 stainless steel with an 18/10 chrome-nickel alloy composition. The Marela collection sink features micro-radius corners with 15 mm rounded edges that ease cleaning and give the basin a contemporary profile. A rear-positioned 3.5-inch center drain on each bowl works with channeled grooves along the basin floor to direct water toward the drain and reduce standing water. The Peacekeeper sound absorption system combines thermal undercoating and oversized sound-dampening pads to minimize operational noise and limit condensation transfer to cabinetry. This sink is finished in Satin Brushed Nickel and is installed by licensed plumbers or experienced finish carpenters working on kitchen remodels or new construction.
The DSM-A6040 is designed for apron-front or farmhouse-style installations in base cabinets 36 inches and wider. The overall sink dimensions are 33 inches by 20 inches by 10 inches. The left bowl is the larger of the two in the 60/40 split configuration, providing a spacious primary wash zone while the right bowl handles secondary tasks such as food prep or rinsing. The contemporary styling and Satin Brushed Nickel finish suit both residential kitchen and bar sink applications where a stainless steel undermount or apron-front look is specified. The sink ships with a complete accessory bundle including bottom grids and a basket strainer.

Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber in coordination with a finish carpenter or cabinetmaker during kitchen remodel or new construction. Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain and supply lines before beginning any sink removal or installation work. The apron-front design requires a modified base cabinet face frame to accommodate the exposed front panel. Verify local plumbing code requirements regarding drain sizing, trap configuration, and venting before completing the rough-in.
