The DAKOTA PLUMBING PRODUCTS DSM-5050LD is a 50/50 double-bowl undermount kitchen sink fabricated from 16-gauge 304 stainless steel with an 18/10 chrome-nickel composition. It measures 32.75 inches long by 18.75 inches wide by 10.75 inches deep and features micro-radius corners with 15 mm rounded edges that maximize bowl usability while maintaining a clean, contemporary profile. Both bowls share a low divide, allowing simultaneous prep and wash tasks without sacrificing depth. Rear-positioned 3.5-inch center drains paired with a channeled bottom design promote efficient water drainage and reduce pooling. A thermal undercoating and large sound-dampening pads minimize operational noise and reduce cabinet condensation. Licensed plumbers and experienced DIYers install this sink in residential kitchens and bar areas where an undermount configuration is specified.
The DSM-5050LD is designed for undermount installation in residential kitchens and wet bars. Its equal-bowl, low-divide layout suits high-traffic prep environments where separating wash and food-prep tasks is practical. The Satin Brushed Nickel finish integrates with contemporary and transitional kitchen designs. Base cabinets 36 inches or wider are required to accommodate this sink. The Marela collection is also available in Silver, Copper, Gold, and Gunmetal Black finishes for matching across multiple fixture points. Included accessories — the DSM-BG5050 bottom grid and DSA-PBSSS basket strainer — are ready for immediate use upon installation.
Designed for undermount installation in base cabinets 36 inches or wider. Compatible with standard 3.5-inch kitchen drain assemblies using the included DSA-PBSSS basket strainer.
Undermount sink installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber. Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain plumbing before beginning removal of any previous sink. Follow local plumbing code requirements — including applicable IPC provisions — for drain connection and venting. Ensure the countertop substrate and adhesive used are rated for undermount sink loads before securing the sink in place.
