The DAKOTA PLUMBING PRODUCTS DSM-5050GD is a 50/50 double-bowl undermount kitchen sink from the Marela collection, built from 16-gauge 304 stainless steel with an 18/10 chrome and nickel composition for long-term corrosion resistance. The micro-radius corner design — with 15 mm rounded corners — gives the sink a contemporary profile that fits cleanly under standard countertop cutouts. A channeled base directs water toward the rear-positioned 3.5-inch center drain, reducing standing water in both bowls. The Gold finish is one of five color options in the Marela lineup. Licensed plumbers and kitchen remodelers handle this installation as part of undermount sink rough-in or renovation work.
The DSM-5050GD is designed for kitchen applications in residential and light commercial settings. Its equal-bowl layout supports simultaneous food prep, rinsing, and dishware staging — useful in busy kitchen environments. The sink fits base cabinets 33 inches wide and larger. The overall dimensions are 32 inches long by 18 inches wide by 10 inches deep. A Peacekeeper sound absorption system — thermal undercoating combined with oversized sound-dampening pads — reduces operational noise and limits condensation buildup on the underside of the sink and adjacent cabinetry.
Designed for undermount installation in base cabinets 33 inches wide and larger. Part of the Marela collection by DAKOTA PLUMBING PRODUCTS. Includes accessories DSMZ-BG5050 bottom grids and DSA-PBSSS basket strainer.
Undermount sink installation requires securing the sink to the underside of the countertop using clips and silicone adhesive appropriate for the countertop material — consult the countertop manufacturer's guidelines before proceeding. Shut off water supply lines and clear the cabinet base before fitting the sink. A licensed plumber should complete drain rough-in and supply connections to meet local plumbing code requirements. Avoid over-torquing mounting clips, as this can stress the sink rim and countertop material.
