The DAKOTA PLUMBING PRODUCTS DSM-4060GD is a 40/60 double-bowl undermount kitchen sink built from 16-gauge 304 stainless steel with an 18/10 chrome and nickel content for corrosion resistance and long service life. It ships in a Gold finish and features micro-radius corners at approximately 15 millimeters, which ease cleanup and maintain a contemporary profile. Overall dimensions are 32 inches long by 18 inches wide by 10 inches deep, making it compatible with standard 36-inch base cabinets. A channeled bottom directs water toward a rear-positioned 3.5-inch center drain, reducing standing water between uses. Licensed plumbers and kitchen remodelers are the primary installers for this undermount configuration.
The DSM-4060GD is suited for residential kitchens and bar areas requiring a multi-task sink layout. The larger right-side bowl handles heavy-duty washing and prep, while the smaller left-side bowl supports simultaneous tasks such as rinsing or straining. The Peacekeeper Sound Absorption System uses thermal undercoating and large sound-dampening pads to reduce operational noise and limit condensation on the underside of the cabinet. The sink ships complete with a DSM-BG4060 bottom grid and a DSA-PBSSS basket strainer, so no separate accessory order is required before installation.
Designed for undermount installation in standard kitchen base cabinets greater than 33 inches wide. Overall sink dimensions of 32 inches by 18 inches by 10 inches fit within standard 36-inch base cabinet openings. Part of the Marela collection by DAKOTA PLUMBING PRODUCTS.
Undermount sink installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain lines before removing any existing sink. The mounting substrate must be solid enough to support the weight of the sink and the undermount clips or adhesive system specified by the countertop fabricator. Do not overtighten the basket strainer locknut against the sink bowl, as this can distort the drain seat on stainless steel sinks.
