The DAKOTA PLUMBING PRODUCTS DSM-4060CP is a 16-gauge 304 stainless steel undermount kitchen sink in a 40/60 double-bowl configuration with a Copper finish. The sink measures 32 inches in length, 18 inches in width, and 10 inches in depth. Built from 18/10 chrome/nickel 304 stainless steel, it delivers strong corrosion resistance and long service life in demanding kitchen environments. A channeled bottom design directs water toward a rear-positioned 3.5-inch center drain, reducing standing water. The Peacekeeper sound absorption system uses thermal undercoating and large dampening pads to reduce operational noise and limit under-cabinet condensation. This sink is installed by plumbers and finish carpenters working in residential and light commercial kitchen settings.
The DSM-4060CP is designed for undermount installation in kitchens with a 36-inch or larger base cabinet. The 40/60 split places a larger bowl on the right side for heavy-duty washing and prep, while the smaller left bowl supports secondary tasks such as rinsing or draining. Micro-radius corners measuring 15 millimeters simplify cleanup along the bowl edges. The sink ships with the DSM-BG4060 bottom grid and a DSA-PBSSS basket strainer included in the box, reducing the need for separate accessory orders. The Copper finish is one of five available finishes in the Marela collection, which also includes Satin Brushed Nickel, Silver, Gold, and Gunmetal Black.
Designed for undermount installation in kitchen base cabinets 36 inches or larger. Overall dimensions of 32 inches by 18 inches by 10 inches confirm cabinet sizing before installation.
Undermount sink installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, often in coordination with a countertop fabricator. Shut off the water supply at the isolation valves and disconnect the drain assembly before removing any existing sink. Follow IPC guidelines for drain sizing and trap placement. Do not overtighten mounting hardware against the underside of the countertop, as this can crack stone or composite surfaces.
