The DAKOTA PLUMBING PRODUCTS DSM-2718SV is a single-bowl undermount kitchen sink built from 16-gauge 304 stainless steel with an 18/10 chrome and nickel composition. The Silver finish gives it a clean, contemporary look that fits a wide range of kitchen styles. Micro-radius corners measuring 15 millimeters simplify cleaning and contribute to the sink's modern profile. A channeled bottom directs water toward a rear-positioned 3.5-inch drain, reducing pooling and promoting fast drainage. Thermal undercoating and oversized sound-dampening pads are bonded to the underside to quiet water noise and prevent condensation from forming on the exterior of the cabinet. Licensed plumbers and kitchen installers handle this type of undermount sink installation.
The DSM-2718SV is sized for base cabinets under 33 inches. The overall sink measures 27.75 inches in length by 18.75 inches in width by 10.75 inches in depth, with a usable bowl interior of approximately 25.75 inches by 16.75 inches by 10.75 inches. Its compact footprint works well in residential kitchens and bar areas where counter space is a priority. The rear drain placement maximizes usable bowl depth and keeps the basin clear for everyday prep and cleanup tasks. The sink ships with a custom bottom grid and a basket strainer included in the box.
Designed as an undermount replacement or new-installation sink for base cabinets under 33 inches in residential kitchen and bar applications.
Undermount sink installation requires securing the sink to the underside of the countertop using manufacturer-approved clips or brackets and a waterproof silicone sealant rated for kitchen use. Shut off the water supply and disconnect existing drain plumbing before removing any prior sink. A licensed plumber should verify drain rough-in dimensions and confirm the drain assembly meets local plumbing code requirements. Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool on the stainless steel surface, as these will scratch the finish.
