The DAKOTA PLUMBING PRODUCTS DSM-2318GD is a 16-gauge 304 stainless steel single-bowl undermount bar and kitchen sink finished in Gold. Constructed from 18/10 chrome-nickel stainless steel, it resists corrosion and holds up under heavy daily use. The micro-radius corners — radiused at approximately 15 mm — provide a contemporary profile and reduce the buildup that accumulates in sharp-cornered basins. A channeled bottom directs water toward a centered 3.5-inch drain opening, minimizing standing water. Thermal undercoating and oversized sound-dampening pads reduce basin noise and protect the cabinet below. Licensed plumbers and experienced finish carpenters typically handle undermount sink installations to ensure a watertight seal and proper countertop cutout.
The DSM-2318GD fits residential kitchens and bar areas where cabinet space is limited and a refined finish is specified. The sink measures 23 inches in length, 18 inches in width, and 10 inches in depth, fitting cabinetry under 33 inches wide. The Gold finish is part of the Marela collection, which is also offered in Satin Brushed Nickel, Silver, Copper, and Gunmetal Black. The single-bowl configuration suits prep sinks, wet bars, and secondary kitchen stations where a full double-bowl sink is not practical. The package includes the DSM-2318GD sink, the DSMZ-BG2318 bottom grid, and a DSA-PBSSS basket strainer.
Designed for undermount installation in residential kitchen and bar applications with cabinetry under 33 inches wide. Part of the DAKOTA PLUMBING PRODUCTS Marela collection. Includes bottom grid DSMZ-BG2318 and basket strainer DSA-PBSSS.
Undermount sink installation requires proper countertop cutout preparation and is typically performed by a licensed plumber or skilled finish carpenter. Shut off the water supply and disconnect drain lines before removing any existing sink. Use a silicone sealant rated for kitchen applications to create a watertight bond between the sink rim and the underside of the countertop. Follow local plumbing codes for drain connection and venting requirements.
