The DAIKIN rza24aavju is a single-zone outdoor heat pump condenser rated at 24,000 BTU/h, designed for ductless or ducted mini split systems in residential and light commercial applications. It operates on R-32 refrigerant, which carries a lower global warming potential than legacy refrigerants such as R-410A, and pairs with an inverter-driven swing compressor for variable-capacity modulation. That inverter technology allows the unit to ramp output up or down continuously rather than cycling on and off, reducing energy consumption and temperature swing. Licensed HVAC technicians typically handle installation and commissioning of this equipment.
The rza24aavju is suited for single-zone applications where year-round cooling and heating are required from one outdoor unit. Typical installations include office suites, server rooms, retail spaces, and residential additions where running ductwork is not practical. The unit is paired with a compatible Daikin SkyAir indoor air handler or cassette to form a complete split system. The R-32 charge requires technicians certified to handle mildly flammable refrigerants in jurisdictions where such certification is enforced.
Designed as an OEM single-zone outdoor condenser for use with compatible Daikin SkyAir Advance series indoor units in ductless or ducted split system configurations.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician certified to handle R-32 refrigerant, which is classified as mildly flammable (A2L). Disconnect and lock out all power before connecting refrigerant lines or electrical wiring. Follow local mechanical codes and the manufacturer installation manual for line set sizing, evacuation procedures, and minimum clearances. Do not exceed the maximum allowable line set length specified in the equipment documentation.
