The Daikin dc3sea6040 is a 5-ton commercial split-system air conditioner designed for light commercial cooling applications. Rated at 60,000 BTU/h with a SEER2 rating of 13.4, it uses R-32 refrigerant and operates on a 460-volt, 3-phase power supply. The unit is built around a single-stage scroll compressor paired with a PSC condenser fan motor, delivering consistent performance in demanding commercial environments. A powder-paint finish in Nickel Gray provides corrosion resistance suited to outdoor installation. Licensed HVAC contractors handling commercial systems are the primary installers for this equipment.
This condenser is part of the DC3SEA Commercial series and is intended for commercial split-system installations requiring 3-phase power. It is suited for light commercial buildings, retail spaces, and similar applications where a 5-ton, single-stage cooling system meets the load requirements. The 3/8-inch liquid line connection and 1-1/8-inch suction line connection are sized for standard commercial line set configurations. At 72.0 dBA, sound output is within typical ranges for commercial outdoor condensing equipment.
Designed for use in commercial split-system configurations requiring 460-volt, 3-phase power and R-32 refrigerant. Consult Daikin DC3SEA Commercial series documentation for approved matching air handler and coil pairings.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC contractor holding the appropriate refrigerant handling certification for R-32 systems. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power at the service panel before making any electrical or refrigerant connections. R-32 is an A2L mildly flammable refrigerant and requires adherence to applicable local codes and manufacturer guidelines regarding ignition source clearances. Line set sizing, refrigerant charge, and electrical supply should be verified against the equipment nameplate and submittal data before startup.
