Product Description

The CUSTOM BLDG PRODUCTS CTTSG3 is a pre-mixed, gray thin set mortar formulated for ceramic, porcelain, stone, marble, and granite tile installations. It requires no mixing on-site, reducing prep time and waste. The ready-to-use consistency spreads quickly and evenly, making it well-suited for interior wall and floor applications. Packaged in a 3.5-gallon container weighing 48 pounds, this mortar meets and exceeds ANSI A136.1 Type I standards. It accommodates tiles up to 8 inches by 8 inches, or tiles with one side up to 15 inches when extended dry time is applied. Licensed tile setters and flooring contractors are the primary installers.

The CTTSG3 is designed for interior residential and light commercial tile installations. It performs on both wall and floor substrates with standard trowel application methods. Three trowel configurations are supported: a V-Notch trowel at 3/16 inches by 5/32 inches provides 140 to 154 square feet of coverage per container; a Square-Notch trowel at 1/4 inches by 1/4 inches by 1/4 inches yields 70 to 87.5 square feet; and a Square-Notch trowel at 1/4 inches by 3/4 inches by 1/4 inches yields 49 to 59.5 square feet. Coverage estimates do not account for backbuttering tiles.
