The CS BASSET PRODUCTS BD1-100-30G is a non-perforated galvanized steel banding strap supplied in a 100-foot roll. Measuring 1 inch wide and formed from 30-gauge galvanized steel, this strap is used to secure, support, and bundle pipe, duct, conduit, and other mechanical system components. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance for installations in damp or exposed environments. At 6.0 pounds per roll, it is easy to handle on the job site. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical contractors reach for this strap type when a clean, smooth-face band is needed without the stress-concentration points that perforated strap can introduce.
This banding strap is suited for residential and light commercial mechanical installations. Common applications include securing flexible and rigid ductwork, hanging pipe runs, bundling conduit, and providing lateral support for equipment connections. The non-perforated face allows the installer to cut to any length and form field bends without tearing at pre-punched holes. It is appropriate for use in attic, crawlspace, mechanical room, and utility shaft installations where a continuous smooth strap profile is preferred.
Designed as a standard-profile galvanized banding strap for use in HVAC, plumbing, and general mechanical installations requiring 1-inch-wide, non-perforated steel banding.
Installation is typically performed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, or general mechanical contractors using sheet metal snips or a strap cutter and sheet metal screws or clamps to secure the strap. Shut off and lock out any energized equipment or pressurized systems before working in confined spaces near live components. Follow applicable mechanical and building codes, including SMACNA duct support guidelines and IPC hanger spacing requirements, when using banding strap for pipe or duct support. Avoid sharp-radius bends that could deform the strap cross-section and reduce its load-bearing capacity.
