The CROWN 7340 is a mineral oil-based penetrant lubricant packaged in a 10 oz aerosol can. It is formulated with aliphatic hydrocarbon, butyl stearate, carbon dioxide, petrolatum, and white mineral oil to loosen corroded fasteners, displace moisture, and leave a protective barrier on metal surfaces. The product is silicone free, which makes it suitable for use in environments where silicone contamination is a concern. Operating temperature range runs from 40 degrees F to 110 degrees F. Technicians in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical service use this product for routine maintenance and field repairs on equipment with rusted or seized components.
The CROWN 7340 is suited for light-duty penetrating and lubrication tasks in residential and commercial service environments. It is effective on threaded fasteners, hinges, linkages, and other metal components exposed to moisture or corrosion. The aerosol delivery makes it easy to apply in confined spaces and tight access areas common in mechanical rooms, rooftop units, and utility spaces. It does not leave a gummy residue, which reduces the need for cleanup after application. This product is not rated for extreme pressure or high-temperature applications.
Designed as a general-purpose penetrant lubricant for use on metal fasteners, hinges, linkages, and mechanical components in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical service applications where a silicone-free, mineral oil-based product is required.
Application should be performed by a qualified service technician following applicable safety procedures. Shut off and de-energize equipment before applying penetrant lubricant to electrical components or fasteners near live circuits. This product is flammable — keep away from open flames, pilot lights, and ignition sources during and after application. Allow adequate ventilation when using in enclosed spaces, in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1001-1050 guidelines.
