The CROWN 7007 is a water-based zinc cold galvanizing compound supplied in a 13 oz aerosol can. It delivers a gray, zinc-rich coating to bare or damaged metal surfaces, restoring corrosion protection without the heat or equipment required for hot-dip galvanizing. The compound carries a USDA food-grade rating, making it suitable for use in food processing and agricultural environments. It is rated for application in temperatures ranging from 32 degrees F to 122 degrees F. The product meets multiple military and ASTM standards, confirming its suitability for industrial and government-specification work. Pipefitters, ironworkers, maintenance mechanics, and industrial painters are the primary users.
CROWN 7007 is designed for field and shop repair of galvanized coatings across a broad range of industries. Typical applications include pipelines, guard rails, corrugated metal buildings, gutters, farming equipment, marine structures, railroad infrastructure, offshore platforms, petroleum and manufacturing facilities, power plants, and bridges. It is equally suited for automotive underbody repair and industrial aviation maintenance. The aerosol format allows direct application to hard-to-reach welds, cut edges, and abraded areas where galvanizing has been compromised.
Designed as a field-repair coating for galvanized steel surfaces across automotive, marine, industrial, agricultural, and infrastructure applications where the original zinc coating has been cut, welded, abraded, or otherwise damaged.
Surface preparation is critical before application — remove rust, scale, and contaminants per standard SSPC or ASTM surface prep guidelines for coating work. Shake the aerosol can thoroughly before use and apply in a well-ventilated area, following OSHA and CMA guidelines for aerosol coating products. Consult the safety data sheet for PPE requirements; the product is compliant with Canadian WHMIS and ANSI standards. Do not apply over existing paint or coating without confirming compatibility with the product technical data sheet.
