The CRESLINE CPVC-PIPE 1/2X10FT is a chlorinated polyvinyl chloride pressure pipe cut to a 10-foot length for residential and light commercial plumbing applications. With a 0.5-inch inside diameter and a 0.625-inch outside diameter, this pipe is sized for standard half-inch CPVC fittings and runs. CPVC is rated for both hot and cold potable water distribution, making it a common choice where copper costs are a concern or where corrosive water conditions rule out metal piping. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this pipe using CPVC solvent cement and primer per manufacturer and code requirements.
This pipe is used in residential hot and cold water supply systems, including branch lines, risers, and main distribution runs inside walls, ceilings, and mechanical rooms. Its 120-inch length allows for longer straight runs with fewer joints, reducing potential leak points. CPVC is approved for use in potable water systems under most state and local plumbing codes and is a direct alternative to copper in new construction and retrofit work.
Designed for use with standard half-inch CPVC solvent-weld fittings and valves in potable water supply systems following IPC or UPC plumbing code requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting into an existing line. Use a CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer — do not use PVC cement alone on CPVC pipe. Allow full cure time before pressurizing the system as specified on the cement manufacturer labeling.
