The CRC INDUSTRIES 14077 is a minimal expansion polyurethane foam sealant in a 16 oz aerosol can, designed to fill, seal, bond, insulate, and dampen sound in and around cavities. Once applied, the foam cures to a semi-rigid, closed-cell structure that delivers an R-value of 5 per inch of foam thickness. The cured foam forms a permanent, waterproof, and airtight bond. It uses a non-flammable propellant and a 360-degree valve for controlled dispensing in confined or overhead spaces. HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and insulation contractors rely on this product during rough-in and retrofit work to close penetrations and control air infiltration.
This foam sealant is suited for residential and light commercial applications where minimal expansion is required to avoid distorting window and door frames, thin wall cavities, or finished surfaces. Typical uses include sealing pipe and conduit penetrations through walls and floors, filling gaps around ductwork, closing utility chases, and stopping entry points for drafts, dust, moisture, insects, and rodents. The can remains reusable for up to 30 days after initial use, reducing waste on multi-day jobs.
Designed for use on masonry, wood, glass, metal, and most plastic substrates in residential and light commercial construction and retrofit applications.
This product is typically applied by HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, or general contractors during rough-in, retrofit, or weatherization work. Wear appropriate PPE including gloves and eye protection, as uncured polyurethane foam bonds aggressively to skin and clothing. Ensure adequate ventilation during application. Follow all local building codes regarding fire-rated penetration sealing, as expanding foam alone may not satisfy fire-stop requirements at rated assemblies.
