The CRC 1006076 is an elastic aerosol sealant formulated to seal gaps, joints, and penetrations in HVAC, plumbing, and general mechanical applications. It dispenses from a 12 oz aerosol container and cures to a flexible, copper-colored coating that maintains a seal through thermal cycling and vibration. The elastic formulation accommodates minor movement in the substrate without cracking or pulling away from the surface. Rated to 400 degrees F operating temperature, it is suited for use on ductwork, flue connections, exhaust components, and other high-heat surfaces where rigid sealants would fail. HVAC technicians and sheet metal installers are the typical end users.
This sealant is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications where a flexible, heat-resistant seal is needed. Common uses include sealing duct seams, pipe penetrations, and metal-to-metal joints in forced-air heating systems, exhaust systems, and boiler room piping. The aerosol format allows fast, even application in confined spaces and on irregular surfaces without the need for a caulk gun or trowel.

Application should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician, pipefitter, or sheet metal mechanic. Power down and lock out any equipment before applying sealant to internal or adjacent components. Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of oil or loose scale before application. Allow adequate cure time before returning the system to service, and ensure the work area is properly ventilated when using aerosol products.
