The CRC 1003612 is a penetrant lubricant formulated with a non-drying oil composition and delivered in a 20 oz aerosol can. It is designed to free seized fasteners, loosen rusted or corroded components, and provide lasting lubrication on metal surfaces across mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance applications. The formula carries a low VOC rating of 1.70 lb/gal (202.40 g/L) and is RoHS compliant. A notable characteristic is its ability to immediately drop the temperature of the area in direct contact with the spray upon application. This product is flammable with a flash point of 126 degrees F and is intended for use by maintenance technicians and trade professionals working on equipment requiring penetrating lubrication.
This penetrant lubricant suits a wide range of trade and industrial maintenance scenarios, including freeing corroded bolts, lubricating hinges and linkages, and protecting metal parts against moisture and oxidation. It is appropriate for residential and light commercial service work in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades where non-drying, low-residue lubrication is needed. The aerosol delivery makes it practical for hard-to-reach fasteners and assemblies. It is not rated for food-grade, extreme-pressure, or high-temperature applications.
Designed as a general-purpose penetrant lubricant for trade and maintenance use on metal fasteners, hinges, linkages, and mechanical assemblies where a non-drying, low-VOC aerosol lubricant is required. Not intended for food-grade, extreme-pressure, or high-temperature service environments.
Apply only in well-ventilated areas due to flammable content and aerosol propellant. Keep away from open flames, sparks, and ignition sources during and after application, as the flash point is 126 degrees F. Power down electrical equipment before applying near live components, even given the listed dielectric strength rating. Allow the penetrant adequate dwell time on seized fasteners before attempting to break them free.
