The CRC 1003495 is a boron nitride mold release agent packaged in a 16-ounce aerosol can with a 10-ounce net fill. It applies as a white liquid coating that forms a dry release film on mold surfaces, tooling, and workpiece contact points. The boron nitride composition provides high-temperature release performance up to 800 degrees F, making it suitable for processes that generate intense heat. It is used in fabrication, manufacturing, and metalworking environments and is typically applied by machinists, toolmakers, welders, and fabrication technicians.
This mold release is intended for industrial and trade applications where a non-food-grade, high-temperature release agent is required. Typical use cases include metal forming, plastic and rubber molding, brazing, welding, glass making, and sintering operations. The aerosol delivery format allows for controlled, even application on molds, dies, fixtures, and tooling surfaces before processing begins. It is not rated for food-contact applications.
Designed for use on brazing applications, glass making operations, metal forming processes, plastic and rubber molding, sintering, and welding applications as stated by the manufacturer.
Apply in a well-ventilated area away from open flames or ignition sources, as this product is flammable. Allow the release coating to dry fully before closing the mold or initiating the forming process. Store the aerosol can away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Handling and disposal should follow applicable safety data sheet guidance and local regulations for flammable aerosols.
