The CRATEX 056 M is a round abrasive stick designed for precision deburring, smoothing, and surface finishing in trade and shop environments. Built on a rubber backing with silicon carbide abrasive grain in a medium grade, it cuts effectively on glass, metal, and stainless steel surfaces. The stick measures 5/16 inches in diameter and 6 inches in length, making it well suited for hand-held use or mounting in rotary tools and die grinders. The rubber bond allows the stick to conform slightly to irregular surfaces, giving machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians consistent material removal without aggressive stock loss.
This abrasive stick is used wherever controlled deburring and edge finishing are required. Common applications include deburring drilled and tapped holes in metal, smoothing welds on stainless steel, and cleaning or refining glass edges. It is appropriate for both bench and field use in machine shops, fabrication facilities, HVAC sheet metal work, and general industrial maintenance. Its compact size fits into tight areas where larger grinding wheels cannot reach.
Designed for hand-held and rotary tool use on glass, metal, and stainless steel surfaces where a medium-grade silicon carbide abrasive stick is the specified finishing method.
When mounting this stick in a rotary tool or die grinder, verify the collet or chuck is rated for the shank diameter before operating. Wear appropriate eye protection and gloves when performing hand deburring or power-assisted grinding. Inspect the stick for chips or cracks before each use and discard if damaged. Follow applicable shop safety standards for abrasive tool use.
