The COXREELS SL17W-150 is a spring-driven, side-mount hose reel built for welding gas applications. Part of the COXREELS S Series, it accepts a 1/4-inch ID, 50-foot oxy-acetylene welding hose and retracts it automatically via an enclosed cartridge-style spring motor. The reel features a dual-ported external 90-degree brass swivel with Viton seals, allowing both supply and outlet connections from the same side without removing the reel from its mount. The body is fabricated from steel with a CPC powder coat finish for chip and rust resistance. Licensed welding equipment technicians and service vehicle outfitters are the typical installers.
This reel is designed for professional environments where reliable, space-efficient hose management is required for oxy-acetylene or T-grade welding gas service. The side-mount, two-bolt pattern makes it a practical fit for cabinet interiors, vertical walls, beams, service vehicles, tool benches, tool boxes, and vehicle lift systems. The 360-degree hose direction capability allows the operator to work from any angle without repositioning the reel. It is equally suited to permanent fixed installations and temporary multi-workstation setups where the reel is regularly moved between stations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-fit unit for oxy-acetylene and T-grade welding gas hose systems in service, industrial, and vehicle-mounted applications.
Installation is performed by qualified welding equipment technicians or trained service personnel familiar with compressed gas plumbing. Shut off all gas supply valves and bleed residual pressure from the hose before mounting or connecting the reel. The two-bolt side-mount pattern requires a flat vertical surface capable of supporting the reel weight. Follow applicable compressed gas handling codes and the reel manufacturer instructions when making swivel connections to ensure leak-free joints.
