The COXREELS SHL-N-160 is a spring-driven hose reel from the SH Series, designed for demanding trade and industrial applications. Built on a larger chassis than standard reels, it accommodates longer hose runs and larger hose diameters. The reel features a machined brass 90-degree full-flow NPT swivel, a cartridge-style enclosed motor, and CNC robotically spun ribbed steel discs with rolled edges. At 50 pounds, the SHL-N-160 is a heavy-duty unit sized for fixed or vehicle-mounted installations where reliable hose retrieval and structural integrity are the priority. Licensed contractors, fleet service techs, and facilities maintenance crews are the typical installers.
The SHL-N-160 is suited for wall, floor, ceiling, and vehicle mounting positions. The multi-position guide arm adjusts to each of these orientations without requiring a separate bracket kit. The 1/4 inch ID hose capacity and spring-driven retraction make it appropriate for compressed air, water, and compatible fluid delivery lines in shop, garage, or field service environments. The sturdy single-pedestal steel base with no-weld construction keeps the reel stable during operation and reduces vibration transfer to the mounting surface.
Designed as an OEM-style spring-driven reel for use with 1/4 inch ID hose up to 60 feet in length in industrial, shop, and fleet service installations.
Installation is typically performed by qualified mechanical or facilities technicians. Depressurize and disconnect the hose from the supply line before mounting or servicing the reel. Ensure the mounting surface is rated to support the reel weight plus the weight of a fully loaded hose. Consult applicable OSHA and local safety codes for compressed air or fluid delivery system installations.
