The COXREELS SDH-200 is a heavy-duty static discharge cable reel designed for use in combustible environments where static buildup poses an ignition risk. Part of the COXREELS SD and SDH Series, this reel provides a reliable grounding path to safely dissipate static charge before it can trigger a spark or explosion. It is built around a 7-strand by 7-wire galvanized steel cable with a high-visibility orange vinyl cover, a 50-amp grounding clamp, and a direct hand crank retraction mechanism. At 15 pounds and measuring 14.5 inches long, 6.75 inches wide, and 16 inches tall, it is sized for practical installation in fuel transfer and chemical handling environments. Licensed tradespeople and fleet service technicians are the primary installers.
The SDH-200 is intended for combustible and hazardous-area applications where static discharge control is required before or during fuel transfer, chemical dispensing, or similar operations. It is commonly paired with fuel hose reels in service stations, tanker truck installations, industrial fuel depots, and similar facilities. The multi-position guide arm adjusts for wall, floor, ceiling, and vehicle mounting, making it adaptable to a wide range of fixed and mobile service setups. The single-pedestal steel base provides stable support without welded joints that could compromise structural integrity over time.
Designed as an OEM-style static discharge cable reel for combustible-environment applications and commonly paired with fuel hose reels requiring grounding or bonding capability.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with applicable electrical grounding codes and hazardous-location requirements. Ensure the mounting surface is rated for the load and that all fuel or chemical flow is stopped before connecting or disconnecting the grounding clamp. Follow NFPA 77 and applicable local codes governing static bonding and grounding in flammable-liquid environments. Inspect the cable and clamp connection for continuity after installation to confirm a reliable ground path.
