The COXREELS SD-35 is a static discharge grounding cable reel built for use in combustible and fuel-handling environments where uncontrolled static buildup creates a risk of ignition or explosion. The reel uses a spring-drive retraction mechanism to keep a 35-foot, 7-strand by 7-wire galvanized steel cable with a high-visibility orange vinyl cover under controlled tension. A 50-amp grounding clamp is included for bonding to tanks, trucks, or dispensing equipment. The steel construction features a CPC powder coat finish that resists chips and rust. Licensed trades and fuel facility technicians are the primary installers.
The SD-35 is designed for stationary and mobile fuel-handling applications where grounding compliance is required before product transfer. It is commonly paired with fuel hose reels at dispensing stations, tank farms, fuel trucks, and similar combustible-liquid transfer points. The single-pedestal steel base supports wall, floor, ceiling, and vehicle mounting configurations through the adjustable multi-position guide arm, making it adaptable to a wide range of service bay and field installations.
Designed as an OEM-style static discharge and grounding reel for use in combustible environments; commonly paired with fuel hose reels at dispensing stations, tank farm installations, and fuel transfer vehicles.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with static control requirements and local fire codes governing fuel transfer operations. Verify that the mounting surface and hardware are rated for the reel weight before securing the base. Confirm grounding cable continuity and clamp connection integrity before placing the reel into service. Consult applicable NFPA and local authority having jurisdiction guidelines for bonding and grounding requirements at fuel dispensing locations.
