The COXREELS SD-100-1 is a spring-drive static discharge cable reel built for use in combustible and fuel-handling environments where uncontrolled static buildup poses an ignition risk. Part of the COXREELS SD Series, this reel is constructed with a steel body, CNC-spun ribbed discs, and a 7-strand by 7-wire stainless steel cable with a high-visibility orange vinyl cover. The enclosed, lubricated cartridge-style spring motor retracts the cable automatically and is designed for easy removal during maintenance. A 50-amp grounding clamp is included. At 32 pounds and measuring 14.5 inches long by 6.75 inches wide by 16 inches tall, the reel is sized for fixed or vehicle-mounted service points. Licensed technicians and fuel-handling professionals install this unit where static grounding is required by safety protocol.
The SD-100-1 is designed for combustible environments such as fueling stations, fuel hose reel installations, aviation ground support, and industrial facilities where static charge must be reliably dissipated before fuel transfer begins. The 100-foot cable capacity provides reach across typical fueling aprons and service bays. The multi-position aluminum guide arm adjusts for wall, floor, ceiling, and vehicle mounting, making it adaptable across a range of fixed and mobile service configurations. It is commonly installed alongside fuel hose reels as part of a complete grounding and dispensing station.
Designed as an OEM-style static discharge and grounding cable reel for use in combustible fuel-handling environments; commonly paired with fuel hose reels in fixed and mobile dispensing installations.
Installation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with static grounding requirements and applicable fire and safety codes for combustible-environment equipment. Ensure all fuel sources and ignition risks are controlled before mounting or servicing the reel. Secure the base to a structurally sound surface using fasteners appropriate for the mounting material and orientation. Verify the grounding clamp and cable continuity are tested after installation and at regular service intervals per site safety procedures.
