The COXREELS P-WC17-5001 is a spring-driven welding cable reel built to protect, organize, and extend the service life of welding cable in demanding work environments. The self-retracting design keeps up to 50 feet of welding cable neatly stored and ready for use, reducing trip hazards and cable wear. The reel features heavy-gauge steel construction with a CPC powder coat finish that resists chips and rust. An enclosed, lubricated cartridge-style motor handles retraction reliably, and an external component cover provides fast access to the slip ring for routine maintenance without removing the reel from its mount. Licensed electricians and welding equipment technicians are the typical installers.
This reel is designed for fixed installations in industrial shops, fabrication facilities, and service bays where a managed welding cable feed point is required. The multi-position guide arm adjusts to accommodate wall, floor, ceiling, and vehicle mounting configurations, making it adaptable to a wide range of workspace layouts. The adjustable solid rubber cable stop prevents the cable end from retracting into the reel. The single-pedestal, one-piece steel base and support post provide a stable, weld-free foundation suited to permanent or semi-permanent mounting.
Designed as an OEM-style spring-driven welding cable reel in the COXREELS P-WC Series, compatible with standard welding cable applications requiring up to 50 feet of retractable cable storage.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician or qualified welding equipment technician. Disconnect and lock out all power to the welding circuit before mounting or servicing the reel. Secure the reel base to a structurally sound surface using fasteners appropriate for the mounting substrate and load. Consult applicable NFPA and NEC requirements for welding equipment installations in your jurisdiction.
