The COXREELS EZ-SHW-175 is a spring-driven welding hose reel designed to manage bulky twin-line oxygen-acetylene welding hose in demanding shop and field environments. Built on the SHW Series larger chassis and frame, it accommodates longer hose runs and features Coxreels original Super Hub dual-axle support system for increased stability, reduced vibration, and greater structural integrity during retraction and payout. The EZ-Coil safety retraction system slows hose retrieval to up to 80 percent slower than conventional reels, reducing snap-back hazards. The reel is constructed with heavy-gauge steel components and a CPC powder coat finish that resists chips and rust. Welding and fabrication professionals install this unit in shops, mobile service rigs, and industrial maintenance bays.
The EZ-SHW-175 is suited for residential, commercial, and industrial welding applications where oxygen-acetylene or similar twin-line welding gas hose must be stored and deployed repeatedly. The external 90-degree full-flow dual-ported brass swivel with Viton seals keeps both gas connections accessible from the same side of the reel, eliminating the need to dismount the unit for connection changes. The multi-position guide arm adjusts to wall, floor, ceiling, and vehicle mounting configurations, making this reel adaptable to a wide range of service environments.
Designed for use with 1/4 inch ID oxygen-acetylene twin-line welding hose up to 75 feet in length. Intended as an OEM-style replacement or new installation reel for spring-driven welding hose reel applications in the SHW Series configuration.
Installation is performed by qualified welding equipment technicians or maintenance professionals familiar with compressed gas handling systems. Shut off all gas supply valves and bleed the hose lines completely before mounting or connecting the reel. The multi-position guide arm and steel base allow wall, floor, ceiling, or vehicle mounting — ensure fasteners are rated for the combined weight of the reel and fully loaded hose. Follow applicable OSHA and NFPA compressed gas storage and handling guidelines during installation and service.
