The COXREELS EZ-SHL-550-BBX is a heavy-duty single-pedestal Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) hose reel built for safe, reliable DEF dispensing in both stationary and mobile service environments. It features a stainless steel 90-degree full-flow NPT swivel with chemical-resistant Viton seals, sized for 3/4 inch ID hose with a 1-1/8 inch OD. The EZ-COIL spring motor retracts hose up to 80 percent slower than conventional reels, reducing snap-back risk during operation. The swivel is externally mounted for quick access during seal maintenance or hose changeouts. At 56 pounds, this reel is built for demanding shop or fleet service use where DEF contamination control and operator safety are priorities.
This reel is designed for commercial and fleet maintenance facilities dispensing DEF to diesel-powered equipment. The single-pedestal SH Series configuration suits wall, floor, ceiling, and vehicle-mounted installations, making it practical for lube shops, truck stops, agricultural operations, and mobile service units. The multi-position guide arm adjusts to accommodate a wide range of mounting orientations without additional hardware. Licensed technicians and fleet service professionals handling DEF fluid systems are the primary installers of this unit.
Designed for use in DEF dispensing systems requiring 3/4 inch ID hose connections. Part of the COXREELS SH-DEF Series single-pedestal reel lineup for Diesel Exhaust Fluid handling applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified service technician familiar with fluid dispensing equipment and the mounting surface requirements for the selected orientation. Shut off any fluid supply and relieve system pressure before connecting or disconnecting hose assemblies. Secure the pedestal base firmly to the mounting surface using fasteners appropriate for the load rating and surface type. Verify all swivel and hose fittings are properly torqued per fitting manufacturer specifications and confirm no fluid leaks before returning the system to service.
