The COXREELS EZ-SHL-450 is a spring-driven hose reel from the SH Series Super Hub line, built for demanding trade and industrial applications where reliable hose retraction and structural durability are required. The reel features an EZ-Coil enclosed cartridge-style spring motor that retracts hose up to 80% slower than conventional reels, reducing snap-back hazards common in high-cycle work environments. Heavy-duty CNC robotically spun and ribbed steel discs with rolled edges provide hose protection and operator safety. A machined solid brass 90-degree full-flow NPT swivel supports simple seal maintenance without removing the reel from its mount. The unit weighs 46 pounds and measures 20.5 inches long, 10.5 inches wide, and 22 inches tall.
The EZ-SHL-450 is suited for use in automotive service bays, fleet maintenance shops, industrial facilities, and similar environments where a dependable spring-retract hose reel is needed for fluid transfer or air service lines. The 1/2 inch ID hose capacity with a 3/4 inch OD accommodates up to 50 feet of hose. The single-pedestal steel base design and multi-position guide arm allow installation on walls, floors, ceilings, or vehicles, making this reel adaptable across a wide range of service configurations. Licensed contractors and facility maintenance professionals are the primary installers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install spring-driven hose reel for use with 1/2 inch ID, 3/4 inch OD hose up to 50 feet in length, compatible with standard NPT fluid or air service line configurations.
Installation is typically performed by qualified maintenance technicians or mechanical contractors. Shut off and depressurize the supply line completely before mounting or connecting the reel. Secure the base to a structurally sound surface using appropriate fasteners rated for the reel weight and working load. Verify NPT swivel connections are properly sealed and leak-tested before returning the line to service.
