The COXREELS EZ-SD-50-1 is a static discharge cable reel built for use in combustible and hazardous environments where uncontrolled static buildup can ignite fuel vapors or explosive atmospheres. The reel uses an EZ-Coil enclosed cartridge-style motor that retracts cable up to 80 percent slower than conventional spring-driven reels, reducing snap-back risk for the operator. The steel frame rides on permanently lubricated precision bearings and carries a 50-foot, 7-strand by 7-wire galvanized steel cable with a high-visibility orange vinyl cover. A 50-amp grounding clamp is included. Licensed electricians and fuel-system service techs are the primary installers of this type of equipment.

The EZ-SD-50-1 is intended for fixed and mobile installations in environments where flammable liquids or vapors are present, including fuel dispensing stations, fleet maintenance facilities, and industrial sites.
