The COXREELS EZ-EN-450 is an enclosed, spring-driven hose reel designed for trade and industrial environments where hose protection, retraction safety, and a clean appearance are required. The reel features a heavy-gauge steel three-piece powder-coated casing that shields internal components from dirt, moisture, and physical damage. The EZ-COIL spring motor is a lubricated, cartridge-style unit that retracts the hose up to 80 percent slower than conventional reels, reducing snap-back hazards on the job. The unit ships as a single assembly and weighs 69 pounds, with an overall footprint of 22.25 inches long by 12.75 inches wide by 23.75 inches tall. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance crews are the primary installers.
The EZ-EN-450 is suited for shop air, water, and similar fluid service lines in automotive, manufacturing, and mechanical service environments where a tidy, professional installation is expected. The enclosed casing makes it appropriate for customer-facing service bays or facilities with cleanliness standards. The adjustable hose roller guide accommodates varying hose routing needs during installation. The single-pedestal base provides a stable footprint without requiring welded fabrication work on-site.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fit within the COXREELS EZ-EN Series of enclosed spring-driven hose reels, accommodating hose with a 1/2 inch inner diameter up to 50 feet in length.
Installation is typically performed by a qualified maintenance technician or plumbing professional. Shut off the supply line and relieve all pressure from the hose and reel before mounting or servicing. The three-piece casing is designed for tool-assisted disassembly to allow access to the spring motor cartridge without removing the entire reel from its mount. Follow all applicable facility safety procedures and local codes when connecting to pressurized fluid or air supply lines.
