The COXREELS 1680-2024-ED is a heavy-duty motorized hose reel from the 1600 Series, built for demanding industrial and commercial applications. It features a 1.5-inch ID inlet, accommodates up to 100 feet of hose, and is driven by a 12-volt DC, 0.5 HP explosion-proof reversible electric motor. The reel is constructed from 12-gauge CNC robotically welded steel using a hybrid A-frame design that combines structural rigidity with mounting flexibility. A nickel-plated inline NPT swivel, permanently lubricated self-aligning pillow block bearings, and a CPC powder coat finish round out the core construction. Licensed contractors and industrial maintenance personnel are the primary installers of this unit.
The 1680-2024-ED is suited for high-volume fluid transfer operations in industrial plants, fleet maintenance facilities, agricultural operations, and other environments where reliable motorized hose retrieval is required. The explosion-proof motor rating makes it appropriate for use in locations where flammable vapors or dust may be present. The adjustable tension brake prevents free-wheeling during deployment, adding control in active work environments. The open drum slot and low-profile outlet riser promote a flat, non-crimping hose wrap that extends hose service life.
Designed as an OEM-style motorized hose reel for industrial and commercial fluid transfer systems requiring a 1.5-inch ID connection and up to 100 feet of hose capacity.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with industrial hose reel mounting and low-voltage DC electrical wiring. Shut off all fluid supply and disconnect or de-energize the 12V DC power source before mounting or servicing the unit. Secure the reel to a structurally adequate surface using the vertical frame sides; consult local mechanical and electrical codes for fastener and wiring requirements. In classified hazardous locations, verify the installation complies with applicable NEC Article 500 requirements before energizing the motor.
