The COXREELS 1185-3324-AB is a heavy-duty hand crank and motor driven hose reel from the 1185 Series, engineered to manage long lengths of large-diameter hose where high-volume fluid delivery is required. The reel features an all-welded steel A-frame base, an exclusive low-profile outlet riser, and an open drum slot design that keeps hose wraps flat and crimp-free during deployment and retrieval. An in-line electroless nickel plated steel full-flow NPT swivel allows seal maintenance without removing the reel from its mount. At 162 pounds and measuring 49 inches long by 28 inches wide by 28 inches tall, this is a substantial unit built for demanding fixed or mobile installations. Licensed trades handling high-flow water, chemical transfer, or industrial fluid applications are the primary installers.
The 1185-3324-AB is suited for applications that demand extended hose runs with large inside-diameter hose, typically 1-1/2 inch ID. Typical install scenarios include industrial facilities, municipal service vehicles, fire suppression support, bulk fluid transfer stations, and heavy mobile service rigs where standard compact reels cannot handle the hose volume or weight. The open drum design accommodates up to 175 feet of hose without restricting flow or causing hose fatigue at the drum interface. Both hand crank and motor drive configurations are supported by the 1185 Series platform, making the reel adaptable to manual or powered retrieval workflows.
Designed for use with 1-1/2 inch ID, 2-1/16 inch OD hose up to 175 feet in length. Compatible with hand crank and motor driven drive configurations within the COXREELS 1185 Series platform.
Installation is typically performed by qualified industrial mechanics or licensed tradespeople familiar with high-volume fluid handling systems. Shut down all fluid supply and relieve system pressure completely before mounting or servicing the reel. Secure the A-frame base to a structurally adequate surface using the mounting pattern built into the steel base; verify that the mounting substrate can support the combined weight of the reel and a fully loaded 175-foot hose run. Where motor drive options are used, electrical connections must comply with applicable NEC requirements and be performed by a qualified electrician.
