The COXREELS 1185-2020-ED is a heavy-duty hose reel from the 1185 Series, engineered for long lengths of large-diameter hose in high-volume fluid delivery applications. It features a 1.5 inch inner diameter hose path and accommodates hose up to 70 feet in length. The reel is available in both hand crank and motor-driven configurations, with the motor-driven version powered by a 12-volt DC, 0.5 HP explosion-proof reversible motor. A low-profile outlet riser and open drum slot design ensure a flat, non-crimping hose wrap, protecting hose integrity during repeated use. The all-welded steel A-frame base adds structural rigidity without bolted joints, making it well suited for demanding mobile and fixed installations. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and industrial service professionals are the typical end users for this class of reel.
The 1185-2020-ED is designed for applications requiring high flow rates through large-diameter hose, such as industrial fluid transfer, wash-down service, and mobile service units where consistent hose management and quick deployment matter. The open drum and low-profile riser work together to minimize hose stress during wrap and payout. The sturdy welded base includes a standard mounting pattern that allows for fast installation and removal, making it practical for fleet or mobile service rigs as well as fixed shop installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit option for large-diameter hose reel applications requiring a 1.5 inch ID hose path and up to 70 feet of hose capacity in the COXREELS 1185 Series platform.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with fluid transfer equipment and applicable safety codes. Shut off all pressure to the hose and fluid supply lines before mounting or servicing the reel. On motor-driven units, disconnect the 12-volt DC power source before making any electrical connections to the motor. Secure the reel to a surface capable of supporting the loaded weight of the unit using the mounting pattern located in the steel base.
