The CORBIN RUSSWIN ML2052 NSA 626 L4 is a Grade 1 mortise lockset configured for classroom intruder applications. It mounts in a heavy-gauge steel lock case measuring 5-7/8 inches by 4 inches by 15/16 inches and accepts Newport lever trim with A Rose trim on both sides. The cylinder is brass, 6-pin, L4 keyway, 0-bitted, with two nickel silver keys included. Finish is 626 Satin Chrome. Handing is field reversible without disassembling the lock case, reducing installation time on active jobsites. The kit includes two standard 1-1/8 inch mortise cylinders and an A02 Yale-style standard cam. Licensed locksmiths and commercial door hardware installers are the primary trade for this product.
This mortise lock is intended for commercial and institutional environments where classroom security or intruder lockdown capability is required. The ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 rating makes it suitable for high-traffic, demanding conditions including schools, government facilities, and healthcare settings. Standard door thickness is 1-3/4 inches (44mm), with a 2-3/4 inch (70mm) backset. Compatible door types include hollow metal, wood, and bullet-resistant door constructions. The ANSI strike SS118 is included in the kit for field installation.
Part of the ML2000 series platform. Fits standard 1-3/4 inch doors with a 2-3/4 inch backset. Compatible door types include wood, hollow metal, and bullet-resistant doors. Optional door thicknesses are available through the ML2000 series. The A02 cam is designed for Yale-style cylinder applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed locksmith or qualified commercial door hardware technician familiar with ANSI mortise lock prep requirements. Confirm door prep dimensions - mortise pocket, backset, and strike location - before installation. De-energize any electrified hardware on the door before beginning work. Re-handing can be completed in the field without removing the lock case from the door; follow the manufacturer's re-handing procedure to maintain proper latchbolt and deadbolt function.
