The COPELAND HS3 is a 3-wire heat shrink splice kit designed for making durable, insulated wire connections in HVAC, plumbing, and related mechanical systems. The kit includes three heavy-wall heat shrink tubes and three butt connectors rated for 14 to 10 AWG conductor sizes. The butt connectors provide a secure mechanical crimp, while the heavy-wall heat shrink tubes seal each splice against moisture and environmental exposure. The black tubing is lead-free and meets NSF/ANSI 372 standards for lead-free compliance. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and electricians use this kit when splicing or extending wiring in the field.
This splice kit is suited for residential and light commercial applications where reliable, code-compliant wire terminations are required. It is commonly used when connecting or repairing low-voltage or line-voltage wiring in HVAC equipment, pump installations, and other mechanical systems. The 14 to 10 AWG range covers the most common conductor sizes found in equipment wiring harnesses and field-installed circuits. The heavy-wall tube construction provides added insulation protection compared to standard thin-wall heat shrink products.

Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician, electrician, or plumber following applicable NEC requirements for the circuit type and application. De-energize and lock out the circuit before stripping conductors and inserting them into the butt connectors. Use an appropriate ratcheting crimp tool to secure the connectors, then apply heat evenly along the tube using a heat gun until the heavy-wall shrink tube fully contracts and seals around the splice. Do not use an open flame to activate the heat shrink material.
