The COPELAND FFAP-A40Z-TFC-072 is a 4 HP extended-temperature, air-cooled scroll indoor condensing unit designed for commercial refrigeration applications. Built around the ZS26KAE scroll compressor, it operates on 208-230 volts, 3-phase, 60 Hz power and delivers up to 29,700 BTU/h at 20 degrees F SST with R404A refrigerant at 90 degrees ambient. The unit ships with an accumulator, filter drier, receiver with valve, moisture indicator, and pressure controls already included, reducing field assembly time. Two condenser fans move up to 4,240 CFM of airflow across the air-cooled condenser. It weighs 247 pounds and is manufactured by Copeland Canada.
This condensing unit is rated for both medium-temperature and extended-temperature applications, making it suitable for walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, and commercial refrigeration systems where low suction temperatures are encountered. The unit is designed for indoor installation and is compatible with multiple refrigerants including R134A, R404A, R407A, R407C, R448A, R449A, and R507, giving service contractors flexibility during system design or retrofit work. Liquid line connection is 1/2 inch sweat and suction line connection is 1-1/8 inch sweat. Minimum circuit ampacity is 23.00 amps with a maximum fuse rating of 30.00 amps.
