The COOPER LIGHTING MS185RW is a white, 180-degree motion-activated security flood light with a die cast metal lampholder cover plate. It is designed for exterior wall or eave mounting and suits residential security and perimeter lighting applications. The unit features 30 motion detection zones and detects movement up to 70 feet away. Two operating modes give installers and end users flexibility: Mode 1 activates the light only on detected motion, while Mode 2 allows manual override from an indoor switch and automatically resets to motion-detecting mode at dawn. The fixture accepts two PAR 38 incandescent bulbs rated at 100 watts maximum each. Bulbs are not included. It carries an Energy Star rating.
The MS185RW is intended for outdoor residential security lighting installed on exterior walls or eaves. The die cast metal lampholder cover plates add a finished, decorative appearance while shielding bulbs from weather and environmental exposure. Large oversized adjustment knobs and a center mount screw allow for tool-free sensor head positioning and simplified single-point installation. Adjustable time and sensitivity settings let the installer dial in detection behavior to match the site conditions. This fixture is commonly installed by electricians during new construction or retrofit security lighting projects.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install motion flood light for standard exterior wall and eave mount applications accepting PAR 38 incandescent bulbs up to 100 watts each.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for outdoor branch circuit wiring. Shut off power at the circuit breaker before wiring or servicing the fixture. The center mount screw design simplifies single-point wall or eave attachment, and the sensor head can be repositioned without tools after mounting. Bulbs are not included and must be sourced separately; do not exceed the 100-watt maximum per socket.
